5D Spectrum founder, De Eldridge, Receives PTA Honorary Service Award

De Eldridge was presented with PTA’s Honorary Service Award at a reception held at Castaway Restaurant  in Burbank CA. The prestigious award  was recognition for  outstanding service to children and youth at R.L. Stevenson Elementary School. De has served as co-president with partner, Jennifer Jesperson on the board of the Families For Stevenson Booster Association for the last two years. She has been actively involved with the school’s fundraising efforts for the last 4 years by planning and working at the annual charity event, Stevenson Rocks!

“I love being part of the school’s effort to raise awareness about the importance of Arts Education in the classroom for all kids. Due to state budget cuts, the art and dance programs we raise money for each year would cease to exist without the volunteer efforts and donations made by the community and parents of Stevenson’s children. It is a very rewarding process when you get to see the kids perform without fear at their annual recital and/or talent show, create beautiful and amazing works of art and raise academic test scores all at the same time.” ~De Eldridge, co-president FFS

The next big event, Stevenson rocks! Woodstock will take place May 6th, 2011 at the school and will feature live music and entertainment, food, dancing and a classic car show in addition to the silent auction. De will be out there working the car show with her 59 metropolitan and her Dad’s 1915 Model-T. Join the fun! 3333 West Oak St. Burbank, CA 5-9pm.
