A great example is the whole new modular system the 5D team created to organize the complex Career Technical Education (CTE) program materials for Burbank Unified School District.
The CTE program changes from year to year and the district needed a more flexible way to manage the shifting details. 5D Spectrum reorganized the 14 pathway programs into 5 categories with color coding to make the programs easy to identify. For added clarity, 5D designed a series of custom icons as part of the branding process.
5D Spectrum designed a new logo, series of pathway icons and key art for the BUSD CTE program. A comprehensive style guide provides guidelines for proper use of each design element.
The BUSD website is built on a platform called “Cyber Schools” which allows the district to control access to different parts of the site to the appropriate person in charge. 5D Spectrum created a microsite for the CTE department allowing them to have their own custom navigation and content, separate from the district site, but still under the same architectural umbrella.
